Heavy Rigid Automatic Truck License Training

Roadmaster Truck Driving School offers comprehensive and professional training for individuals looking to obtain their HR automatic driver’s license. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction that is tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning style.

What is a HR Automatic Vehicle?

The automatic gearbox license class is Heavy Rigid (no clutching). If students also possess an Open vehicle or Medium Rigid license, they will receive a Heavy Rigid license with a limited (B) endorsement. More than 8 tons GVM (it has to have more than two axles), and a maximum 9 tons GVM trailer, along with considerable training leading up to your license exam. Professional truck driving tactics will be taught to you at Roadmaster Truck Driving School. One of the requirements is that the student must have held a Light Rigid or Medium Rigid license for one year (1 year) or an automobile license for at least two years (2 years).

Pre-requisites For Obtaining An HR Licence

The skills and information needed to operate a heavy rigid vehicle safely in accordance with state/territory license requirements and traffic authority laws, including heavy rigid vehicle road rules, are covered in this unit.

It includes keeping an organized and effective handle on all vehicle operations, keeping an eye on traffic and road conditions, controlling the performance and condition of the vehicle, and skillfully handling dangerous circumstances.

  • An industry standard heavy rigid truck must be used for training and driver education purposes, including:
  • Gearbox with automatic operation - limited approval
  • Condition B for an open class license holder
  • Brakes on the exhaust
  • Steering power
  • Air conditioner
